We've built here. Our Van Nuys ADU sits beside the garage at the back of the property: white stucco, a gable roof, black-framed windows and a sliding glass door to the yard. Inside there's a vaulted ceiling, a wood-tone L-shaped kitchen, a stacked washer and dryer and a mini-split in the bedroom. Farther north we've built in Lake View Terrace and Tujunga, and to the east in Burbank.
